The grass isn't jumping yet, but on a fine day, the larks are in the air singing, the daffodils are nearly open - and we have mares coming into season, and some dandy brushes are already starting to get clogged with winter coat!
We hope the worst of the winter gales, rain and snow are past (though we still have "the Coo's Quack o' May" to look forward to!) So now we can think of fittening up our mounts ready for a summer of activities.
