Green Horse Rides

These have managed to continue through most of the winter. Thank you to Kate and family for turning out in all weathers!

After Christmas Meal

Eight adults turned up for this and spent a most enjoyable evening at the Kettletoft. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the topics of conversation only occasionally strayed from horses and riding.

Horse News

Two new residents at Measer are Sylvester (formally of Lopness) and Winston (formally of Fish House). The little Beales are getting bigger, and they'll be delighted to have more "bigger" horses to grow into!

Flight trotting by Coo

Rocco, showing his horns at Cruan.

The two youngsters from Sparrowhall (Flight and Rocco) have been away to Cruan to begin their serious education. Flight's back, now, but Rocco will be a week or two yet.

Flight was a star pupil, and a big hit with everyone at Cruan. You'll have to excuse the scruffy jacket and Flight's dirty tail. The tail's waiting for a mild day to get washed, and the ex-scaredrow outfit jacket should have been chucked long ago!

As you can see from the picture, rebellious Rocco is certainly not a star pupil. This is why he's still at Cruan!

The picture was taken some weeks ago. He's much better now - but far from perfect!

Christmas Day

Gill and I put out a general invitaion, but no one took us up. This year, Gill had untacked Barnaby before we remembered the camera, so I've included last year's photo (which got on to the BBC website!). That's two fine Christmas days running!
